Good wedding photography requires far more than technical skill. Great wedding photography is only reflected through a connection to oneÂ’s subject, an understanding of the traditions unique to each culture and an innate ability to capture a moment without being a distraction. Through NikkiÂ’s unique background, she has been able to acquire the skills necessary to understand the emotion, energy and flow of your special day. Before fostering a love for photography, Nikki built a successful career as a wedding planner in Boston. She began her career at Seaport Hotel in 1999 and went on to plan events at many of the most prestigious venues in Boston and New England. During those years, photography emerged as a hobby quickly and became a passion. In 2003, she began assisting some of BostonÂ’s premier wedding photographers and soon started attracting her own clients as a result of her fun and easy attitude, expert wedding knowledge and great eye. Today, Nikki specializes in candid wedding photography. This is defined as snapshot photography that focuses on spontaneity and perfecting the immersion of a camera within events rather than focusing on an artificially staged scene. Naturally, capturing the traditional, formal family groups is a key element in any wedding. These traditional images will mark the history of the day. However, after those photos are taken, Nikki prefers to stand in the background and capture natural images of you, your family and friends to tell the unique story of your day.
