Omar does not pay his staff. He makes promises but never delivers. He lies about every detail. He is always scrambling to find people to work at weddings because he cannot keep anyone. After the wedding he will keep the alcohol that is not consumed even though the clients paid for the booze.

Our experience with Cardoos was horrible. They did not stand behind their word on anything. The night before our event they suddenly were unable to deliver tablecloths and glassware that they had said they would bring over. I had to pick it up on top of everything else I had to do the night before our party. They charged me for more people than we had at our event-we gave them a final guarantee 11 days before the actual event and they said it wasn't enough time. On top of all this-the food wasn't even that good!

Omar from Cardoo’s catering was a pretty big disappointment the night of my wedding. As of late it seems that his business is struggling and it certainly was evident at our wedding. He was very unprofessional (i.e. wore a green military t-shirt and jeans at our wedding and was serving guests the meat with his gloved hands-no tongs) and there were many things that were promised and not delivered. Our biggest gripe is that we paid for stations and we got a buffet. He blamed this on the kitchen at our reception site not being up to par. Keep in mind that a couple weeks prior when we met with him he informed us he would not be using the kitchen at the reception site at all, and would be preparing everything at his café in North Grafton . All evening he was approaching my mother and the groom with “issues”. He opened the bar a ½ hour late, and told the groom in front of guests that he would have to charge $350/half hour to stay late, when it really was the least he could do! His bar tenders were inexperienced and cut off several people that should not have been cut off. He made up payment deadlines that were not in the contract, his staff was not dressed as promised, and was overall just very unprofessional. Honestly, the list goes on and on! All I can do is warn you to not use him, I wish I hadn’t! I know that he had a good business running for awhile, but I do not believe that is the case anymore, unfortunately.

The food was great and my family enjoyed the rehearsal dinner. Omar was easy to work with I just didn't like that he was all caught up about time and how much it would cost if we went over. I didn't like that Omar left my rehearsal dinner when he is the top chef I payed for him to be there and he left $150 for down the drain.

Everything started off great, Omar and Michelle are really wonderful people, however things got a bit sticky and there were apparently communication issues when I thought I was making myself perfectly clear and being explicit as to what I wanted and expected. In the end, the food was beyond cold and the servers took nearly forever to get the food out to our guests. I was very embarrassed. The head table got served first and even our food was cold. To top it off, the chicken was not what I had talked about with Cardoos. I had relayed to Cardoos staff that my family is very big on food and to please make sure the food is hot. I can understand warm food even, but this was cold food, as I said. The quality of the food itself was great, however, and our cocktail hour apps were wonderful and hot. We also never got the dessert we were promised and the dessert buffet went a bit awry, as desserts were being put out without plates! Again, I felt a bit embarrassed because I had worked so hard on putting the wedding together. To top it off, I never got a follow-up call or email. In all, Chef Omar is a great chef and Michelle is personable and organized (but not present at my wedding), I really felt like I trusted them to do the job well and I didn't feel like they delivered 100%, which was a shame because I have several friends getting married and looking around for vendors.

Omar, the owner and head chef, goes above and beyond to make sure everything tastes, looks and goes fabulously. everyone commented that the food was excellent. we chose to have a buffet style, and it still came across very elegant. my mother thought the salmon was the best she ever had. they are also very upfront on teh costs. the linens and flatware are included, so you don't get slammed at the end with a huge surprise. we had a fairly large wedding of 200, and everything went very smoothly.

Head Chef Robert is absolutely wonderful. He is willing to work all your ideas into a fabulous night of food. Everything was great prior to the wedding. All staff at Cardoos was helpful and accomodating. Chef Robert even drove to my house and dropped off the food for the tasting because my husband was going to be late due to travel. Like i said everything was great except for one of the waitress on the day of who was slightly peeved that my husband and I were not at our table when they served the food. Other than that the food that night was perfect.

Food was excellent, head chef met with us at least three times. Worked with our budget, provided a cake from Kondeiter Meister as part of our package. Allowed us to provide our own alcohol. Staff was efficient and attentive. Personal touches throughout the planning process as well as the wedding day itself. Even a gift from the chef waiting for us at our seats when we sat down! We had 145 people and it was $14,000 not including alcohol (which we provided from Trader Joes and Costco for $1000), tax or tip.
