Jane was a joy to work with and made sure that our ceremony was memorable and special. I found her on this website and chose her based on all the raving reviews people left for her. I wasn't disappointed at all. She kept in close contact with me leading up to my wedding, was always available for questions, and customized our ceremony perfectly to fit me and my husband (people are still raving about how beautiful and unique she made the ceremony). She was a delight to work with and is a genuinely nice woman. Not that I want anything bad to come of my marriage, but if I ever needed a J.P. again, I would use Jane again in a heartbeat! I only wish we had longer to work with and know her as she was just wonderful and set a great tone for the rest of our wedding day. Thank you Jane for everything!

Jane was fantastic! After thinking about having a friend officiate our wedding, and then having a less-than-desirable experience with a rather non-responsive other Justice of the Peace, we found Jane on the internet. We chose her because by that point we were looking for someone confident and experienced, and as you can see from her track record, Jane is just that. She absolutely did not disappoint-- she knew exactly what she was doing and made the ceremony preparations and ceremony itself go amazingly smoothly. Jane was very responsive via phone and email, and we had a few extremely helpful and comforting phone conversations -- first in which she explained her services, then a few days before the ceremony to talk through details. We had fun filling out a questionnaire that she used to write our ceremony and vows (I made my husband fill it out independently of me so we could compare answers, then we consolidated our answers to send to Jane), and she really got who we are right away. She was great about adding or removing elements of the ceremony, and we sent drafts back and forth a few times until it was just right. She traveled all the way to Ashland, MA for our wedding and was there right on time. We didn't have a rehearsal, but after talking on the phone and seeing the ceremony on paper before our ceremony, I felt totally prepared -- and Jane was right there to direct us so it felt natural despite our nerves. We got so many compliments on the ceremony -- a lot of people said it was very "us" and one friend of the groom told me it was exactly what he would want for his own wedding. In short, I highly recommend Jane Rokes!

Jane was an amazing officiant. She portrayed my husband and I through her prepared ceremony as if she had known us for years. Her tone, her attitude and her entire personality fit us to a"t". I am so happy she was able to be a part of our special day :)

I can not possibly write enough great things about Jane in this comment box. From the first time I spoke with her she made me realize what our wedding was all about, the ceremony when you recite your vows to your future husband/wife & not to get lost in planning the "party" for after the ceremony. She helped us out through the whole planning process and when the wedding finally came, she was there on time and fully prepared. Jane puts her heart and soul into what she does and she is most definitely already hired for anytime we are to renew our vows!!!

We would like to share how happy we were with our decision to work with Jane at our wedding. Jane was very professional! The events manager at the venue we used in Jaffrey, NH highly recommended Jane to us by simply saying "shes awesome!." We agree! From the start she made sure we were 100% satisfied with everything. Jane Rokes was the best! Jane was able to create a unique ceremony just for our wedding that captured our vision and feelings for one another. It was simply perfect. She was very professional and easy to communicate with either by phone or email. I would recommend Jane to every couple!

Jane was absolutely wonderful! She had married our friends a year ago and I loved how she personalized the ceremony to their personalities. I felt comfortable going with her because I knew her work and my husband and I were looking for a ceremony that would be reflective of who we are. Jane asked us what we wanted the ceremony to be like and we answered: loving, reflective of who we are, and interactive. It was EXACTLY that and we had many people comment that they had never seen a ceremony like ours before and about how wonderful it was. Because of our large bridal party (14) she thought of a way we could involve each one in a special candle lighting ceremony. She tied each party member to us with what it is they bring to our relationship and they lit a candle for it; we chose also to include our parents. So we had the most perfect, loving, interactive ceremony with an amazing unity piece and ended with a sense of humor just like us. I will never forget how amazing it was; and people are still talking about how great she was!!!

It was very clear from seeing her other ceremonies (2 friends) that Jane really works hard at making the ceremony true to her couple's wants and personalities. I never felt that we were getting a prescripted ceremony, but that there was much thought about us as individuals and a couple based on our questionaire. She also took the time to meet and send drafts to be sure everything was to our liking and fit us as a couple. She is genuinely moved by the wedding and what it means to each couple and happy to be a part of this important event in life.

We cannot say enough GREAT things about Jane and how she made our ceremony complete!! Everything was personalized - it wasn't anything close to a run-of-the-mill JOP ceremony. It was very evident that she truly cared about making our day special. She was very easy to stay in touch with (big plus in my book!), and was open to any ideas or suggestions that we had. Everyone (literally) commented on how wonderful she did, and we even suggested her to another engaged couple who is going to be married up in Laconia within the next year. A+++!!! Jane Roakes went above and beyond any of our expectations! Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without her! The ceremony she put together was absolutely beautiful. It couldn’t have related to us anymore than it did. She had everything under control taking so much stress off of both of us. Thanks so much Jane for making our special day, that much more special!

Jane is hands down the best! She will work with any ideas you have an is enthusiastic about making the ceremony really about the couple. She has so many amazing ideas of her own and will incorporate them into the ceremony. Jane will also add surprise elements and twists and lets you keep a copy of the final ceremony which is great to print out and keep forever! She is professional but also cares about making your day special and really goes the extra step to make it just so!

It's hard to put into words how great Jane is. She was always friendly and easy to work with throughout the planning process. Even more important, Jane seems like she truly loves what she does. Jane performed the most beautiful ceremony for our wedding. We had the opportunity to talk with her on multiple occasions to create a personal ceremony that was incredibly meaningful to us. Jane provided us with a one of a kind ceremony that was loved by all. Our guests felt like she had known us for years with the kind words she used. We loved how she wrote our ceremony just for us and let us pick and choose what we did and didn't want. She was helpful, easy to speak with, and not only helped with our ceremony but also provided a list of vendors she has worked well with in the past. We greatly appreciate what Jane did for us and would highly recommend her.

Jane was wonderful and so easy to work with. She created a custom ceremony that felt very us and truly made our day special. We had a very small ceremony (~20) and Jane fit right in. Many of our guest told us on how much they enjoyed it. She was thoughtful and professional and I could not recommend her more highly!

Jane was amazing from start to finish. When we spoke to her on the phone to make sure she was the right match for us, she was very thorough in explaining her role and how she officiates. She was sure to answer all our questions and, moreover, she exuded her appreciation for love and marriage. We knew she was the right match immediately. Throughout the whole process of planning the wedding, Jane was available to answer any questions we had. We filled out her questionnaire and she wrote unique and personal vows for us to recite. She also had ideas we hadn't thought of, such as providing poems for readings, and including a parent appreciation portion of the ceremony. Every single guest at our wedding said it was the most beautiful ceremony they had veer been to. Jane was professional, but approachable. She was also very flexible--our musician's cello broke right before the ceremony, and Jane remained calm during the ordeal, didn't rush the ceremony (even though she had another to officiate immediately after), and gave us the perfect wedding. Lastly, she is extremely affordable. She is simply the BEST officiant and you would do no wrong in hiring her to be yours!
