Where do I begin? My mother put it best, actually, when she said "Donna Kim was by far the BEST investment we made in your wedding!" It is so true. From the moment I met Donna for my consultation meeting for my invitations, I knew I was going to like her! I am an Event Planner myself so I have extremely high expectations when it comes to vendors. Donna far exceeded every expectation I had!I went to Donna for just invitations at first and I ended up using her talents for Programs, Menu Cards, Table Numbers, Escort Cards, Monogram Stickers, Labels for our Cigar Roller, Thank You Cards, and other miscellaneous signage...the list goes on and on! Then, when a last minute hiccup occurred just three weeks before my wedding I called and asked Donna to be my Wedding Planner for my Day Of Coordination. To say Donna was a lifesaver, is an understatement! She stepped right in as though she had been my wedding planner for the year and a half I had been planning everything. She was able to make things happen at my venue in a second that I had been trying to get for over a year. Her services only enhanced my day for the better! The first time that Donna Kim of The Perfect Details and I spoke she asked me to tell her three words I would use to describe my dream wedding. As I daydreamed about my September 2011 Boston nuptials, I told her "wow", elegant and classic. Looking back a month later and recalling what our friends and families have said to us about our wedding day, I am 100% positive that Donna assisted us in achieving just that - an elegant, classic wedding with the perfect dose of "wow". Being a type A personality, I am very concerned with organization, timelines, details and all the moving parts of whatever situation I am in. Donna was my match. Before I could even send her an email asking about when we should think about booking our next vendor, she had already contacted me with her favorite vendor suggestions (we used her recommendations for florist & make-up artist- both of whom were absolutely amazing!). She kept us on a perfect timeline throughout the 14 months that we worked together. It was reassuring to have her for all those sticky etiquette questions, random "what do you think about X?" questions and everything in between. She was available until late in the evening (we are talking 11:30pm at night!) and was super speedy on email, which I loved!Donna's talent showed through in all aspects of her wedding planning, but both my husband & I agree that her invites brought the entire wedding to the next level...the "wow" level. Donna worked with us to create a truly unique invite that arrived to our guests in a box (yes, a box!). We chose everything from the border paper to the background color to the blush pink silk bow that tied it all together with our color scheme. Our parents and I were getting calls EVERY DAY from guests about how amazing the invites were; people were so blown away and impressed, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve! Another area where Donna's talent & expertise showed through was how she executed the wedding day. Her day of schedule was so meticulous and organized that I felt nothing but confident and calm, pre-wedding, that everything would go off without a hitch and trust me, it did! She knew exactly how long to schedule for hair and make-up, transportation, pictures, etc. I literally don't know how a bride without a schedule like this can keep track of time on her wedding day - time flies and you want to make sure you are using that time in the best and most efficient way.Last, it was very important to us that the color scheme in our invitations tied into the color scheme of the wedding itself. Donna created our place cards, menu cards, programs, welcome bags, drink signs, cocktail napkins, cookie bags, etc. - all in the same paper materials and hues from our invites, but each with its own twist. The wedding design was coordinated but not matchy matchy; very subtle & classic, which was exactly what we envisioned! It was completely cohesive.I would highly recommend Donna Kim of The Perfect Details for wedding planning, design and invitation creation. Our 9-10-11 wedding was elegant, classic and had the perfect dose of "wow". It was a dream!

My fiance (now husband) and I both work long hours and after trying some planning on our own, we soon realized that we needed to hire a Wedding Planner. We needed someone who could help us not only with the day of the wedding, but finding a venue, booking vendors, design assistance, color schemes, invitations - everything! I was referred to Donna Kim @ The Perfect Details in November of 2010. At the time, we were trying to plan our wedding for August of 2011. From the first phone conversation I had with Donna, she was able to calm my nerves & anxiety. I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to find a great venue because most places we had already looked at were booked. I started to think all the good vendors would be booked as well, and Donna came to the rescue. She really listened to what we wanted our special day to be about and the type of celebration that we were looking to have with our friends and family. Since we were really stuck on finding a venue, Donna helped come up with some new and creative ideas for us. We really wanted our celebration to be by the ocean and Donna did a great job helping us select our dream location in Newport, RI. She understood our budget and recommended ways to be creative and cut costs in areas that weren't worth it. We had heard from some friends that selecting vendors was one of the most time consuming parts of planning their weddings. After getting to know us a little, Donna was able to connect us with excellent vendors who fit our style! It was such a huge relief to have all of our vendors booked by January and we felt confident in everyone since they came highly recommended by Donna.Donna designed our save the dates and custom invitations. Again, she took the time to go through every detail with us and made sure we were getting what we wanted. We never realized how much detail goes into a simple thing like an invitation. The size, colors, how it opens, font type and size, etc.. it all can get overwhelming. She showed us tons of samples and color schemes that might match the theme of our wedding. All of our family and friends commented on how beautiful our invitations were!! Donna also took care of our menu cards, table numbers and place cards which she printed on wood to go along with our theme!! She also designed our beautiful (and delicious) candy bar :-) I can't say enough great things about Donna, she is AMAZING!! Her work ethic is second to none, and her dedication and passion for what she does is reflected in her beautiful work! There is no way we could have planned this wedding without her! If I emailed or called her I would have a response in less than 30 minutes. It didn't matter if it was 12:00am, she would respond! I honestly felt like I was her only client even though she had a million things going on and was working with multiple brides. She was always there for me even if I just needed to talk to calm my nerves! The day of the wedding went so smoothly. Everything was perfect and that's because Donna and her team made sure of it!! I didn't have to worry about vendors not showing up, or being late, or not having directions, etc.. because Donna took care of it all! She had everything in order at least a week before our wedding and created "to-do" lists for me so I knew exactly what I needed to bring. She also typed up a detailed day-of-wedding schedule (I mean detailed right down the the minute) and sent this out to all my vendors, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family. I was so impressed with Donna and her team's professionalism at the wedding. They really made sure every little detail was perfect. I'm not sure how Donna does it all but SHE DOES! It doesn't matter if you are planning a big or small wedding - it's overwhelming and I would highly recommend Donna Kim. I can't thank her enough for everything she did to make our wedding so special :-)

To all the Bride-to-be’s, I recently had the pleasure of working with Donna Kim on my August 2011 wedding. My experience with Donna is one that I will never forget. Not only did she design/create all wedding stationary items, she was also a great counselor during the wedding planning process. She exceeded our expectations in every way. And believe me….we are not easy. After one meeting, she understood our taste and the look/feel that we were trying to achieve for our special day. Donna set the classy yet whimsical tone to our wedding with amazing save-the-date cards and breathtaking satin boxed invitations which were shipped as a “present” to our guests. There is SO much to say about how truly FABULOUS Donna Kim at the Perfect Details is that I don't even know where to begin!! We originally hired Donna for our save the dates, custom wedding invitations and all wedding stationery. After about 6 months or so of working with Donna on our save the dates and invitations, we also hired her as our Day of Coordinator, we had never considered hiring one, but after meeting and working with Donna, we had to have her there with us on our wedding day. Donna is AMAZING. Her attention to details and creativity is truly extraordinary. She is also an incredible listener, she listened to every single idea and random thought I had, about our save the dates, invitations, and decor and turned them into truly beautiful incredible PERFECT details. I also felt as though she took the time to REALLY listen to me and get to know me and my personality.Donna was ALWAYS there to put our minds (and my moms) at ease and she was always available to chat via email, phone or meet us wherever most convenient for us to discuss our details, questions, etc. We obviously weren't her only clients, but Donna TRULY makes you feel like you are. Not only is Donna an incredibly gifted wedding planner who creates the most unique, elegant and gorgeous invitations and details, but she also is a VERY special person, she is one of the most honest, trusting, kind, funny and just truly amazing people I've ever met. She constantly went above and beyond for us and always found a way to take the stress completely off of us and put us at ease and make the wedding planning FUN. Donna had control over everything, she made sure that everyone was doing exactly what they were suppose to and made sure all of the details were just right, that everything was set up and looked exactly as it was suppose to in our reception tent and made sure the centerpieces and flowers were perfect. She was always right there whenever I turned around and it was especially helpful after our ceremony that was outside in the BLAZING sun, when I told her how HOT I was, she immediately began spraying me with cooling mist!! Now that is top grade service!Everything Donna created for us (save the dates, invitations, menu cards, ceremony programs, place cards, a totally unique one of a kind guest book poster, table numbers, signs for bride & groom chairs and even adorable signs for the restrooms featuring our dogs!) was beyond fabulous and perfect. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how perfect everything was and continue to tell us it was the most gorgeous wedding they have ever been to. I've had many friends and people ask me how I stayed sane planning such a fabulous wedding and I always simply reply "Donna Kim".I really don't know how she does it, but she literally took care of everything! This is review by the FOB! Just like Steve Martin in the movie I admit that I was skeptical at first, but hiring Donna was one of the best things we did in the wedding planning process. For me, the key was the day of coordinator services. Donna thinks of everything, and she has an incredible plan for the entire day. It is such a special day for your entire family, you do not want to have to worry about any of the day of details. Whether it is making sure that the DJ, the florist, or the limo driver are on time and know the plan, whether all of the guests are getting on the hotel shuttle, or whether the caterer and reception hall staff have set up the hall exactly as planned, Donna and her staff take care of everything. With Donna in charge, I did not have to worry about any of those details and we could really relax and enjoy the day. And you know that the bride and the MOB would be looking to me to double check on all of those things. lSo, for all the skeptical FOBs out there, believe me hiring Donna will be the best thing that you do.

Donna, from The Perfect Details is a genius. We met with her after I had booked all of our vendors and we wanted to her to coordinate the day for us. We instantly clicked. She knew exactly what we wanted and what we did NOT want. Very early on, Donna became my best friend, whom I would email at odd hours of the day and get instant replies. I felt like she had no other priorities but our wedding. We sat with her to design our invitations and she knew what I liked and what I did not like just by looking at my expression. I felt like I had known her for years. The invitations that she designed were AMAZING! Everyone would RSVP with a comment on how much they loved the invitations! As the big day approached she made sure that all of our needs and concerns were met. She would call me to check up on me and gave me advice that I desperately needed. On the day of the wedding, she made an effort to come to my house to make sure we were on schedule and the rest of the day, she and her staff went above our expectations to make sure all of our expectations were met. Her professionalism and expertise were shown throughout the whole planning process. The little details, "the perfect details" are what made our wedding different from the others!

Donna was great! She was full of great ideas for things I could never have thought of on my own and had great attention to detail. Everything turned out perfectly because of her.

I came to Donna with very little to no idea of what I wanted for my wedding invitations, thank you cards and escort cards. She was very patient with me, steering me in the direction from what I liked and didn't like. She has an amazing way of helping you make decisions, without taking the control away from you as the bride. I live out of state which forced Donna and I to do mostly everything via email. Being a nervy bride, it felt amazing to know that I could get an answer from her, at pratically any time of the day.Everyone at our wedding absolutely adored everything Donna put together. Our invitations were classy, produced on exceptional paper stock, without the outrageous pricing you see at chain stores.She even put together our table number cards (which included photos of myself and my husband), which we received many compliments on. Her work is immaculate and speedy. She has weddings down to a science. Anyone would be lucky to have the chance to work with her.

I met Donna Kim from The Perfect Details based on a reference from another vendor I had hired for my daughters upcoming wedding. I was looking for someone to do the invitations and got so much more. What set The Perfect Details apart from others was the owner, Donna Kim. This multi talented young woman listened and produced exactly what was needed to help make my daughters wedding an elegant yet fun affair. She was sensitive to working within a budget but yet still created the "wow" factor that all brides are looking for. We started with a crystal theme for the "save the date" that consisted of an engraved diamond that got my guests so excited for this event. This was followed by invitations that my guests are still talking about....a beautiful keepsake wedding box that held a letter pressed "to die for" invitation. Donna was so easy to work with. She even helped create a "winter wonderland" shower that just so happen to fall on a day of a blizzard. With just a few time changes, it all went off like clockwork. We did much from emails and even though my daughter was living in another state, we never had any problems connecting whatsoever. From there, the attention to details was beyond perfect. A perfectly custom menu was created and appropriately priced out to go with our Italian theme wedding. She helped with every vendor hired to make sure pricing was the best and followed up on every one leading up to the big day. She gave me updates the week of the wedding on all the vendors and constantly making sure I was staying rested and relaxed. Donna did so many little things that set this wedding apart from others, from getting old wedding photos of our parents and grandparents, putting them in frames and displaying them in the china cabinets that were in the cocktail area, to creating amazing circular menu cards that fit perfectly in the charger plates to finding the perfect Italian vendor to make homemade sausage and pepper sandwiches that our guests ate in the final hour of the wedding. The night flowed seamlessly and common compliment from every guest was that "there was no detail left out" and " it was the most fun had at a wedding". This was all Donna Kim and her wonderful staff, from The Perfect Details. If you are a bride who wants a night that will stand out and enjoy every minute of it, I highly recommend this company!

Donna is truely amazing! I gave her a few ideas of what I liked it she turned them into such amazing things! The invitations I am still getting compliments on even after my wedding!. Donna also did my menu cards, place cards, placecard board, cupcake signs, table numbers and she even had this great idea to have a vinyl cut out of Mr. and Mrs. to put on the back of our chairs for the sweetheart table. Everything was PERFECT and The Perfect Details made our wedding a dream come true!

There just aren't enough superlatives to describe Donna Kim and what she did for us. We hired Donna to do our save-the-date cards, invitations, programs, menus, out-of-town bags, seating cards and table numbers. She is amazing, from the moment we met her she listened to what we wanted, gave us her ideas, kept us on track and knew exactly what we wanted and did EVERYTHING to bring it all together for us.
