Vinwood Caterers

Vinwood catered my daughter's rehearsal dinner at Gould Barn (Topsfield) and wedding at Castle Hill, Ipswich in July 2010. We had many excellent vendors for these events, but none better than this company. The staff is thoroughly professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. Prices are quite amazing considering the quality of the food and service is excellent. Look no further, this is the caterer to use for any occasion.

Excellent Service!

We got married at the Hellenic Center on June 12th and used Vinwood Catering and everything was WONDERFUL. The food was fantastic and service exceptional. We still have people raving to us about the food (not something you hear often at weddings). We did the Beef Tenderloin and the Spring Stuffed Chicken. My husband got the beef and ate every last bite of it and my chicken was out of this world good. Probably one of the best dishes I've ever had, I would totally recommend it even though I'm sure there are many of you (like me) who are nervous to pick because you can't taste it first. I would absolutely recommend the chicken it was yummy as was the beef tenderloin! I also want to add that Vinwood was probably one of the best deals around too. For the quality, they were very reasonable when compared to other venues/catering companies when we were looking for our reception site. 100% recommended!

Vinwood was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about them. Rick and the entire company were wonderful. They were a preferred caterer for our venue which was great because they knew all the ins and out of our unique location. Planning a wedding in a barn is not an easy task. The food was amazing and we received several compliments on everything. They were attentive to every detail. Would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. They actually did my friend's wedding and are doing our church anniversary gala. :)

On a scale of 1-10, they are a 25!!!!!!!!!!! Their people are the NICEST staff to work with from Jessica who answered every question imaginable before our wedding, down to the waitstaff at our actual wedding who catered to us and every one of our guests. THEIR FOOD IS INCREDIBLE. We had pasta stations and a carving station of tenderloin that people are still talking about, a month after our wedding. Every single item was great. They know what they are doing, you are in the most capable hands but the best part about it is that they are so nice!

Vinwood was incredible. They went above and beyond finding out exactly what we envisioned for our wedding and made sure all of the details were taken care of. They even went out of their way to set up and maintain our candy buffet throughout the entire night. Our guests raved about the filet mignon and the pumpkin ravioli. They are a terrific company and at a very reasonable price. They were a huge part of why our wedding was so memorable.

Vinwood Catering provides EXCEPTIONAL value for money. They catered my husband and my wedding this past weekend, and I have to say that they exceeded my expectations in everything they provided. The staff were professional in manner and appearance, and the FOOD was absolutely delicious! All of our guests were raving about the appetizers and their dinners. One of my friends emailed me yesterday to say that she and her husband thought that the food at our wedding was hands down the best food they have ever had at a wedding! When I booked Vinwood I was a little nervous about the fact that they do not offer tastings. However, my wedding planner told me that they do not offer tastings simply so that they can keep their costs down. She assured me that the food from Vinwood would be wonderful....and it turns out that she was absolutely right! Early in the planning process I contacted several caterers to obtain cost estimates, and Vinwood offered the most reasonable prices. I also love that their estimates are inclusive of all taxes, fees, and gratuities. So you're not worried about any sneaky hidden fees showing up on the final bill. Also, during our final meeting just prior to the wedding, their General Manager Ray offered honest advice about the quantity of food required for our guest count. He even talked me out of excesses that would have increased my bill but not offered additional benefit for the event! When it comes to Vinwood you get delicious food, good communication, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.....all at a fantastic price!

This vendor is included and exclusive to my reception venue, Tavern on the Harbor. I chose to do a stations dinenr. I can't count how many people said it was the best wedding food they have ever tasted, and I am one who agrees. Usually mass produced food for a function lacks quality and taste. Not only was this the best function food I have ever had, it was actually better than many restaurants I have been to! The salads and breads were amazing (lots of compliments on the harvest salad), the pastas cooked perfectly (compliments on the ravioli), and the chicken and beef were cooked to perfection (both the chicken and the beef tenderloin received many excited compliments, the beef especially). For the cocktail hour, they offered an expanded cheese board with may choices of cheeses, breads, crackers, and other delightful things to nibble on (and sent a smaller one up to the bridal suite for the bridal party before introductions). The menu selections were many, and all sounded great. We were able to customize just about everything to our liking (we decided we didn't want sliced almonds in our green beans). I had guests coming from India as well, so we were able to replace one of the pasta choices with an Indian dish of my choosing--I just had to send them a recipe, which they followed very well. It tasted great, and was a nice option for my guests.I can't say enough about how much I loved having Vinwood as my caterer! I loved it and my guests loved it!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Vinwood. The food was wonderful, their staff was amazing, the set-up and follow through was flawless. I never once worried about the catering, from the beginning all the way through to the wedding day they were on top of things. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic food and fantastic service. Vinwood provided the perfect catering. Our only complaint is they do not offer a tasting of their food prior to the event. Unfortunately my husband and I only had a couple bites of the great swordfish and filet mignon we ordered but all of our guests swore it was the best wedding food they had ever enjoyed. A+++ all the way.

I cannot say enough good things about Vinwood. Our wedding was one year ago, and people are still raving about the food and service. We were married in Gloucester, and having our pictures taken down by the water on the rocky coast. The wait staff from Vinwood were walking down on the rocks serving the wedding party appetizers! Now that is service:) I would not hesitate to recommend!

Vinwood is fantastic. Very easy to work with in the planning stage. The room was set up perfect. People are still talking about how great the food was. They rave about everything from appetizer to dessert! And plenty of it.

Top notch food and service! We loved them and will use them again if we ever have another catered evert. Everyone complimented them after the wedding and were dying to find out who they were. They were a pleasure to work with.

Ray at Vinwood was fantastic. He was willing to work with us and our budget so that could have our reception just the way we wanted it. His staff is extremely professional, and the food is outstanding.

After our previous caterer imploded about 2 months before my wedding date, I called Vinwood in a panic. Every other caterer I called gave me quotes way above what I had planned to pay the imploded caterer, but Vinwood was able to work with my budget. The planning leading up to the event was seamless, and I appreciated that they met with us on-site to over placement of tables, etc.I was very impressed by the staff at the event. The set-up was beautiful and the staff took care of us beautifully throughout the day, even bringing over a little tray of food to us while we were taking photos outside. We had very limited food (basically an expanded cheese board), but everything I ate was fantastic. They also set up the cakes that my mother baked.

All my guests commented on how great the food was. the appetizers kept on coming and the filet mignon was so tender you didnt need a steak knive best wedding vendor.

Amazing Food!

Five stars all around for the quality of the service and the food. My husband and I are self-proclaimed foodies and refused to have typical bland wedding food at our event. Everything was beyond delicious as well as sophisticated. I have had guests tell me it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding and I honestly feel the same way.

This catering company was amazing. The food was very tasty and the staff was professional, smart and very flexible. I would highly recommend them to anyone hosting a backyard wedding reception. Their attention to detail was great, their value for cost was amazing and everyone was very impressed with all they did at our wedding.

Vinwood was by far the best full service caterer we could find. they handled so much more beyond the wonderful food. They set up our ceremony chairs, helped with the flow of the ceremony such as making sure everyone walked out on time etc. they provided all the linens, tableware, dishes, glassware etc. they cook all their food on site so it is fresh and delicious. The whole event flowed beautifully and I'm sure there were so many more details and problems solved that never even made it to me or my husband. A truely full service caterer, well worth the extra money.
