Well Spun Weddings

We booked very last minute - about a month before our wedding. Well Spun made it really easy to book with such short notice, but I didn't receive much information about how the process worked. All the information I received was from the online forms I had to fill out a couple weeks before the wedding. Because it was so close our date and had so much other stuff on my plate I didn't contact them for more information, but it seems if I had they would have been helpful. The shooters we had were a little strange, but I barely saw them. My DH did say that they were a little annoying at points, but who's really used to a camera following them?! I did receive a lot of comments from guests that they couldn't tell if they were taking a photo or filming because the shooter was using a regular camera - not a video camera. I'm not sure what that means for our footage. Hopefully our guests don't look awkward :) I cannot comment on the quality of our film because it has not been editted yet. I will review again after I receive it.

I'm happy to be writing a good review for this vendor after being pretty alarmed by their lack of responsiveness for the last couple months before my wedding. I called and emailed begging for a response several times and really started to freak out that I was going to have to find another videographer at the last minute. STRESS!In the end, I did get an apologetic response from the owner, explaining that a few of them had been on vacation at the same time. (Why no out of office replies, I'm not sure.) Anyways, the work they did was beautiful, and they captured what we asked for in an organized fashion. One thing I also liked is the option to simply get the raw footage since my husband is a video editor and wants to do it himself. We got the external hard drive containing our footage almost immediately after the wedding, which was a nice surprise. All in all, after the communications issues, it was a good experience at a great price.

I work as a television producer for one of the major networks. I hired Well Spun Wedding Films because they have some of the best looking camera work I've seen. I work with a lot of talented videographers and I know that Jon and his team are just as good if not better than some of the camermen I use for primetime television. There is a great artistry to their work. I am so happy I hired Well Spun Wedding Films to film my wedding.

I LOVE my wedding video. My husband and I watch the video often and it brings back such great memories of our wedding day. Photos are great to look at but a video can capture a lot of things that you miss on your wedding day. Wellspun did an amazing job at capturing the beauty and fun of my wedding! I am editing my original review based on my conversations with Well Spun.I've been assured that the delays I was experiencing waiting for my completed video were not typical and that a plan will be put into place to make sure that a domino effect does not affect other brides going forward. Jon was very responsive to my concerns, and even overnighted my video so that visiting family coming into town would be able to watch it with us. That personal touch meant so very much to my husband and I. Since that was the ONLY thing bringing down my review score, I've re-evaluated my review.If you choose Well Spun you can be assured that your special day will be recorded and documented to enjoy for years to come. The video turned out awesome, and I love the old time feel.

I cannot heap enough praise on Wellspun Weddings and Jon Gangwer! We originally weren't even planning on having a wedding videographer but we decided to go with Wellspun after seeing the videos on its website. Boy are we glad we did! Wellspun was a JOY to have at our wedding - Jon and his staff are lovely and easy to work with.. Not intrusive at all (I know that's a concern for many considering hiring a wedding videographer). On top of which, Jon was very responsive to our many questions before and after our wedding.. He was also very flexible, especially in dealing with our hectic schedule. But perhaps most importantly, we are THRILLED with our wedding video! It is unlike any other video we've seen.. Beautiful, artistic, and moving. Jon managed to capture the essence and emotions of our special day in a breathtaking, captivating way. My husband is most delighted and that's saying a lot - haha! We definitely HIGHLY recommend Wellspun Weddings! You won't regret it! (If you don't hire them, though.. you may regret that decision! It's really fun to watch our wedding video.. very different from still pictures! Especially since we were so caught up that day.. it's fun to relive what everyone else experienced!)

Well Spun Wedding films peformed the videography for my wedding. They were so easy to work with on their online forms. We also requested the 3 song wedding video where they edit your wedding to a short film to 3 songs and they all look amazing. I can't wait to get mine!Our videographer that day named Zack was very nice, and nearly invisible. He was there but wasn't in the way or obtrusive to the guests.

I am revising my review based on my conversations with Well Spun after I wrote my review. I was frustrated with them based on my experience, but I have been assured that mine was an isolated case.Our video ended up turning out well. We loved what they did with the music we chose, and though we haven't watched all of the footage yet, it seems like they had good coverage of the day. Ian was our videographer in LA and he was great. He was a nice guy, had a good sense of humor but was also inconspicuous enough that he didn't take attention away from the wedding. Jon, the CEO and editor is nice, he is funny and has a trendy editing aesthetic that a lot of people are responding to. I had a few problems during the post process. The problems were: a defective "post process" form that cost us an extra month to get the video editing started, the wedding film was delivered past the time frame promised on the form, our HD sent back without the raw footage on it, and it took 2 weeks for them to send us the Free Facebook link. The main factor was lack of communication. But again, I have been told that these were unusual circumstances, and they are restructuring the business side of their operation to avoid these kinds of issues in the future. The look on their reel is what you will get, so if you like their style, Well Spun will do a great job on your wedding film.

We were so busy before the wedding to give much pointers.Nevertheless, the videographer was able to do a great job.They were AMAZING....everywhere but never in the way....simply amazing. we can think of and remember is the fun and love we shared that day. So we really owe it to BlueSky/David for the fond way we look back on our wedding day. They accomodated everything that we requested and it was simply perfect. My husband can't stop playing the "Glanceback" portion of the video which is amazing that the groom even goes crazy over it!

Well Spun service was very great. I don't what to say but when we got our video of our wedding, the Quality of the video was great, and not to mention it's Blue ray which we wanted it to be blue ray. Now we can cherish our wedding moment in HD. Their service was very good.

Haven't received final video back BUT we had two videographers and they were very nice, very excited. It was great to let them go up to the boys’ while they were getting ready, etc. DH & I are both hams, so we had a little trouble not posing & talking directly to camera. The ballroom got pretty dark, so we told them to bring on camera lights just in case. Even though there seemed to be a spotlight following me on the dance floor, I didn’t care – actually I like that kind of thing. WSW said I should get raw footage in 2-3 weeks and after I send that into editing, final production in 3-4 months. We are getting a 3 song music video + entire wedding with chapters.

I can't say enough about the Well Spun Wedding Films staff. I had my wedding 2 days after Christmas, which is a hectic and busy time, and they were willing to work my wedding. Before the wedding, they answered all questions immediately through both e-mail and by- phone and were extremely helpful. They even helped with the song choices. We by accident sent them a check for $8000 instead of a balanace of $800, and they immediatley called to inform us of our mistake. They were wonderful with customer service! The day of the wedding, oiur videographer was great; he was so nice and professional and made sure he knew exactly what we wanted. We barely knew he was there. He stayed until we wanted him to and made sure he got enough footage. Well Spun Weddings is so unique and creative. All of the other videographers seem to overcharge for just the raw footage. Their videos go way beyond raw footage and really capture the day, the personalities and the emotions. We will treasure our video for many, many years to come.

I have not received my video yet, but have no doubt that it will be utterly stunning. The videographer was right on time and totally inconspicuous, which is exactly what we wanted. They were wonderful and timely throughout the entire planning process; they were often the first vendor to contact us (proactively) when it was time to shore up the next level of details. I can't wait to see my three-song highlight film and to send it to everyone we know.

We don't have our video yet, but so far so good. I've had nothing but great communication and professionalism from everyone I've dealt with at WSW. The videographer was a really nice guy.

Well Spun and staff were great. The was awesome and everything was timely. About 2 months after our wedding we had everything, which is amazing turnaround time. The videographer was very professional and friendly to work with.
